Phantom Lake

Phantom Lake is a serene, peaceful lake in eastern Wisconsin. Its waters are patrolled by the Canoe Corps, and the forest nearby is a favorite one of teenagers who like to camp and listen to the rock and roll. It's also the site of the long-sinced burned Phantom Lake Home for the Criminally Insane.

Two men, Gruff Man and Toady Man, dump atomic waste into the water, which causes the water to change and create The Monster.

Julie Ann Saint Marie Jackson spent much of her adult life crusading to clean up the lake. By 1992, the lake is clean enough to fish in.
