Stephen played the Centauri Ambassadorial aide Vir Cotto in Babylon 5. Before this, he played "Flounder" while Bruce McGill played "D-Day" in Animal House. They both returned for its short-lived television spin-off Delta House. More recently, he was the voice of Booster in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
