Nell Carter is a Tony-award winning actress/singer who starred in the 1980's series Gimme a Break!. She also appeared on-stage in Hair, and brought her role to film in the movie version. She also has the recurring role of Dr. Susan Peters in Reba.
Sadly, Nell passed away on January 23, 2003. Rest in peace, Ms. C. We miss you.
