Harlan Ellison

Harlan Ellison

Where do I begin? Harlan is one of the most prolific authors on the planet, and one of the best. He has won more awards than any other author I can think of, and unlike most, he actually deserves them - and more. Besides writing Hugo-award winning novels and short stories, he has written scripts for Star Trek ("City on the Edge of Forever"), Alfred Hitchcock Presents ("Memo From Purgatory"), Outer Limits ("Human Factor" "Demon With a Glass Hand" and "Soldier"), Twilight Zone ("Gramma" "Shatterday" "Palladin of the Lost Hour" "One Life, Furnished in Poverty" "Crazy as a Soup Sandwhich"), and even the original version of The Terminator, which James Cameron ripped off to make the movie. I can say this because Harlan proved IN COURT that James had ripped off his story (originally "Soldier" and "Demon With a Glass Hand" from the 1960's), rewrote it a little, and put it out with his name on it - with NO credit to Harlan. Harlan won, and his credit is now on the movie, as it should be!
