Dorothy C. Fontana

D. C. Fontana D.C. Fontana

D. C. Fontana - Dorothy - started in "the business" as an assistant to Gene Roddenberry, and moved up through the ranks very quickly. She wrote some of the classic episodes of the original Star Trek, even helping to create the Next Generation. Having fleshed out the Spock character, it seems only fitting that she created Q two decades later.

The first two seasons of Babylon 5 had several scripts written by authors not on staff. These included Christy Marx, David Gerrold, and two scripts by Dorothy, including the one you see above "A Distant Star", which guest-starred West Wide Story's Russ Tamblyn.
