9/26/01, 8 p.m. - There are lots of things that suck about moving. They include: mail - It's gonna take up to 10 days before the mail starts coming to my new address, even though it's theoretically not going to my previous address anymore .... finding stuff - I have no idea where lots of things are, like a certain screwdriver that I need to get my desk put together .... body strength - doesn't exist. I never claimed to be in shape, and this whole experience proves it. I'm not used to manual labor in any way, shape, or form. Not anymore.

My first job was working in a nursing home, and on a daily basis I would lift people who weighed more than me, and were complete dead-weight, and it was easy. Since then, though, all of my jobs have been desk jobs of one form or another. Well, there was the admitting desk at the hospital, but I didn't have to lift anything, just walk miles a night. Then, back to a desk job. I don't lift things ... I don't go up stairs, and any walking I do is relatively flat .... In other words, this came out of nowhere and now I'm in pain.

But as Derek said, I've probably lost quite a bit of weight in the last couple of days. This is true, I can tell. A pair of sweats is a prime example. I had worn them sometime last week, and they fit "ok" ... not skin-tight, but comfortable. I put them on yesterday, and had to pull them up at least half a dozen times cuz they kept falling off. Boy was THAT different! lol

Well, we've got phone and cable now. I assume we've got net access too, but I haven't hooked my computer up yet. It's one of those things that I kinda looked at and sighed. I had too many other things going on, and it's just on the "back burner" for now. Still gotta do laundry, though. ugh lol
